Beritarepublikviral.com //PADANG – SMKN 6 Padang and West Sumatra MSMEs Join Hands to Weave a Digital Future.
Amid the winds of change that carry the momentum of progress, a meaningful step has emerged, bridging the world of education and the spirit of entrepreneurship. SMKN 6 Padang has forged a strong partnership with West Sumatra’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), hosting an inspiring learning event titled “99 Seconds to Greater Prosperity Through AI Affiliate Marketing.”
Held in the warm and spirited teachers’ room on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, knowledge seemed to come alive and speak, inviting educators to step forward toward the gateway of transformation.
This noble initiative was conceived by Bunda Een Reffans, Executive Chairperson of West Sumatra MSMEs. It is the fruitful continuation of a promising gathering: a meeting between the principals of public vocational high schools across Padang, the Regional Secretary of West Sumatra Province, Arry Yuswandi, and Bunda Een herself. Like a seed of hope planted in fertile soil, this vision has now grown into a training program designed to nurture the skills of the coming generation.
Bunda Een constantly reminds us that technology is a friend that must never be ignored. For her, digital transformation is not merely a concept or discussion—it is a golden bridge to be crossed by strengthening the quality of human resources, especially in embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“There are three main keys to success,” she shared with heartfelt conviction: “unwavering faith, an undying spirit, and the courage to build your own brand.”
She also shared her inspiring life story. She once served as a civil servant at the West Sumatra Provincial Education Office. Yet for her, retirement was never meant to be the end of the journey. Instead, it was a time when new opportunities unfolded, giving her the space to deepen her knowledge and venture into the world of business.
Today, she has established Reffans House—a thriving enterprise focused on textiles and traditional batik. Driven by her belief that technological advancement acts as a favorable wind, she is confident that her business will continue to grow and flourish.
Meanwhile, the speaker from Bandung, Faidlurrohman, offered a broad perspective on modern life. “Human beings today live in two realms: the physical world we stand upon, and the boundless digital world,” he explained. “Therefore, we must seek sustenance in both.”
In his view, teaching or working in an office is a form of service in the physical world, while being an affiliate marketer is like sowing seeds of opportunity in the digital landscape.
He explained the concept simply yet profoundly: an affiliate acts as a trusted bridge between sellers and buyers. They promote others’ products through unique links, and whenever a purchase is made through that link, they earn a commission as a reward for their efforts.
This training focuses specifically on one goal: learning how to use AI as a reliable tool to generate consistent, sustainable, and automated income through affiliate marketing.
“Affiliate marketing has become one of the most accessible ways to earn online today,” Faidlurrohman added. “There is no need to hold inventory, nor the hassle of packaging and shipping—just creativity, whether through writing, videos, or social media content, can yield meaningful results.”
His hope is ambitious yet clear: that AI will not remain a passing trend, but become a true ally that elevates the quality of education and empowers West Sumatra’s MSMEs to grow stronger, more confident, and competitive on a wider stage.
The Principal of SMKN 6 Padang, Deta Mahendra, confirmed that this event follows up on a productive meeting held the previous day at Cafe Mahakam, attended by Bunda Een and the Regional Secretary. “We want this knowledge to be practical and directly useful for our teachers and staff,” he stated.
The program is designed to make AI technology easy to understand and apply—both within the classroom and as a practical skill to support local businesses. It also aligns with the vision of regional leaders, who aspire to see West Sumatra advance through innovation and progress.

Throughout the full day, knowledge was shared and exchanged enthusiastically, with full participation from all educators and staff of SMKN 6 Padang.
What begins as a small step is hoped to mark the start of a long and rewarding journey: embracing artificial intelligence as a trusted companion, and turning digital opportunities into a blessed source of livelihood.(Reported by: Tb Mhd Arief Hendrawan)
